Eigg Housing

Over the last few years, there has been a major programme underway for the much needed re-furbishment of island properties. In this the Trust has been working in partnership with Lochaber Housing Association, the Highland Council, Communities Scotland & the Scottish Land Fund. The results are a high standard of affordable rented accommodation for islanders.

Eigg Construction has employed several local men as

sub-contractors to undertake this work with 5 total renovations (Millers Cottage, Hill Cottage, Gamekeepers Cottage, Kildonan House & Brae Cottage) now completed.

In future, we will be looking at the possibility of building further housing for rent.
