The Scottish Wildlife Trust is one of the three partners forming the Isle
of Eigg Heritage Trust, a unique partnership established to build a better
future for the island, its wildlife and its people.

Caring for wildlife
The Scottish Wildlife Trust., established in 1964, is the leading voluntary organisation protecting Scotland's wildlife.
We:
. manage over 100 wildlife
reserves- together their management results in the conservation of a wide
range of habitats and in opportunities for people to enjoy them.
campaign to promote debate and raise public awareness about conservation issues.
work in partnership with local communities and other organisations to ensure a better deal for wildlife
Raising awareness
Public understanding of Scotland' s wildlife and the need for its conservation
through Scottish Wildlife Watch, the junior wing of the Scottish Wildlife
Trust, or Green Watch, aimed at young people from 16 to 24.
Wildlife conservation and country side management training is provided
for many hundreds of people throughout Scotland, especially young people
who can learn a variety of skills, for example dry-stone dyking, path
making or plant surveying.
Getting involved
As a charity the Scottish Wildlife Trust depends on donations and membership
subscriptions.
The work of the Scottish Wildlife Trust depends on the support and active
involvement of volunteers. They carry out many vital tasks, including
practical reserve work, biological recording and fund raising. Local branches
of the SWT also organise events, talks and slide shows.
By supporting the Scottish Wildlife Trust, people lend their voices to
furthering the conservation of Scotland's wildlife, receive free access
to over 100 reserves, a members magazine , Scottish Wildlife, three times
a year and can attend a host of activities.
You can do your bit for wildlife by joining the Scottish Wildlife Trust,
providing a donation or getting involved: the need is great!
