Self Catering Accommodation - Cuagach Bothy

The bothy is a traditional one-roomed stone building & is situated in the crofting township of
Cuagach which is at the north end of the island overlooking Laig Bay with fine views of Rum.

It has 2 sleeping platforms (1 at each end of the room each with a double mattress)

which are accessed by ladder.
At one end is a multi fuel stove which heats the water for the kitchen sink & shower.
Cooking is by calor gas stove (4 rings, oven & grill).

Off the main room is a small extension which houses toilet & shower.

Electricity is provided by a micro hydro & is shared with our own house.

The amount of power available (usually around 500w for both houses) is reliant on amount of

rainfall so we are only able to provide lighting (no hair dryers please!).
I don't provide any linen so bringing sleeping bags & towels is essential.
Cost: £25 per night or £150 per week
